The American Board of Surgical Assistants is strictly a testing and credentialing organization.

We are not an employment service. We do not, can not and will not attempt to provide employment assistance. Please don't ask.

If seeking employment, it is suggested that you contact friends, employment agencies or search the internet for surgical assistant jobs.

States that have legislative issues as of January, 2011 are California, Kentucky, New Jersey and New York. Click Here for link, to a chart.

States requiring registration and/or licensure are Illinois, Kentucky and Washington DC. Texas has licensure but is not required to practice.
